Atelier M is a children’s movement education service grounded in strong technical foundations, creativity, and joyful exploration.
Founded by Marit Aurin, a dancer and children’s movement educator with a deep love for teaching, Atelier M reflects her passion for working with children and helping them build a positive, confident relationship with movement.
Marit’s approach is shaped by over a decade of classical ballet training with the Joffrey Ballet Academy in Chicago (now called Grainger Academy), along with additional study in France.
With several years of experience teaching movement to toddlers through elementary-aged children, Marit has developed a teaching style that balances structure with play, technique with imagination, and discipline with encouragement.
The heart of Atelier M lies in creating classes where children feel supported, inspired, and excited to move.
